1) To kick things off, could you tell us a little about your career background (how you got to where you are) and current role?

Ah it's quite wired journey which might take way to long,

I did my masters in HR field was doing fine but I really wanted to be entrepreneur so I started my own Business as a Home baker was doing fine. And I used to attend many webinars and conferences for

Testing ,those words like agile stand-ups jira were so easy for them I started having curiosity, Started searching on google and YouTube.

But the time I started understanding I fell in love with testing and there was no going back, started taking courses and that’s how I started my journey.

Now I work as a Solo Tester(QA Analyst)in UK for Aventum group

2) What does a day in your life look like for you? Can you take us through a recent workday?

I work in a Hybrid setup the day I go to the office is Quick rush and busy days start and end with meetings.

But when working from home is Quite nice

I start work at around 8 and we have a stand-up followed by meeting with developers and start working.

Majority time I spend on preparing Test Cases and sudden minor changes as A solo tester I cannot fix certain work. I usually get a new task every day.

Apart from that I do spend a good amount of time on one of the community(QA Talks) where we discuss new trends and set up conferences and webinars.

And love to learn something new so I always try to listen to new trends and tools and try to keep myself-updated

3) What does work-life balance mean to you and how do you work to achieve that goal?

Everyone has their own way. Mine is to work productive in the work hours so that you do not have to stretch hours and get stressed.

I try to organise everything make sure I try to achieve all the task to me and the best way is to give reward once I achieve any target which make me motivated and get it done

I make sure I spend one hour for gym to stay fit

1-2 hour no screen time I be away from phone laptop

4) In the past 12 months, have you started or stopped any routines or habits to change your life?

I started going to Gym it changed my routine way too much and started being so much more productive and much more energetic.

Meeting new people and exploring new diets

I have limited my screen time which is making me much more productive in the free time reading blogs and books and dedicating some to write my own blogs

5) What brings you peace during stressful times?

Its wired but work 99 times for me

What stress me out I try to write it down and start think what can I do to change and make sure to write

Any problem or issue is on paper it make so easy to work on it more effective way

6)Do you have any favourite books, podcasts or newsletters that you are consuming and like to recommend?

I always want to read new books but I always end up catching the Quran and read as it’s a kind of soothing and best practice and I really enjoy reading.

7) If you could read an interview about work-life balance by anyone, who would that be?

YouTube helps a lot in sorting that for me I mostly get work life balance talks in Ted talks they kind of really great ones to get inspired or implement in our life

8) What’s the one piece of advice you would give our readers for managing stress and creating a healthy mental state?

We trend to worry on things which are even important try to be calm it solved maximum of problems or at least calmness gives us idea on what can we do to overcome the problem

Try to take breaks and work it helps to focus
